This blog is run by the Interdisziplinäre Arbeitsgemeinschaft Tierethik – a non-profit organization initiated by students at the University of Heidelberg, which means we are financing our projects through donations only. This is why we need your support! All of our members are working free of charge, so every single cent will be used directly for our projects, for example for this blog or for lectures on animal ethics.
The initial idea for the foundation of our group was derived from the impression that animal ethics is still widely ignored by German scientists and universities. We want to initiate a change and help to make this important issue a more discussed topic – for students and scientists, in Heidelberg and in the whole of Germany. Since this is a rather ambitious aim, we are initiating various projects, in order to do justice to the complexity of the topic.
This blog is one of these projects, by which we hope to reach people throughout the world and give a basis for further and deeper discussion on animal ethics and related fields of study. With a donation you will support our aims and encourage the further work of our group.
Your donation will be used for the following:
- financing lectures on animal ethics throughout Germany
- financing publications on animal ethics
- promotion for our projects within the media, by handbills and posters
- administration of our webpages
- other expenses, such as mail charges
