The Interdisziplinäre Arbeitsgemeinschaft Tierethik (IAT) invites interested persons to submit articles related to animal ethics for publication on The Animal Ethics Blog. To submit an article or discussion comment, send it as attachment file in Microsoft Word (TM) format to post@ag-tierethik.de with the subject “submission”.
Articles must be written in English or German. The language has to be clearly understandable to non-specialists. Technical expressions and symbols must be explained and formulae must be paraphrased in ordinary language. Articles should contain a short introduction, a body, a conclusion and a list of literature cited (in order of appearance). By submitting an article to IAT the author gives his assurance that it was not submitted to any other print or online publication platform.
After a manuscript has been received, IAT will send an e-mail acknowledging that the submission is under review. IAT has to grant permission before any article or discussion comment will be published on The Animal Ethics Blog. Anonymous articles will not be published.
Please note: Any articles containing expletive language; personal attacks, in particular regarding the sexuality, gender, race, religion or nationality of another person; any illegal information or material; or any comments that contain subject matter deemed inappropriate by the website administrators will not be published on The Animal Ethics Blog.
If a publication is denied by IAT, the author will be informed of the reasons. In certain cases, correction suggestions may be offered by IAT and discussed with the author. If an agreement can be reached, the article will be published after corrections have been made and the article was reviewed a second time.
After the publication of an articles the copyright is held by IAT. Posting of the published article is permitted on the author’s own website etc., provided that The Animal Ethics Blog is acknowledged as the original source. Posting on any other electronic public server can only be done with permission from IAT.
